Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities Programme

Dale and fellow Stress Free Director Allan Johnson-Mwangi are trained facilitators of the Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities (SFSC) Inclusive Parenting Programme.
Allan and Dale have undertaken five days intensive training as facilitators of this programme which complements their significant experience to date. The powerful partnership of Luton Young Leaders Academy & Stress Free brings considerable experience of working with young people and adults to nurture their personal and leadership potential.
To parents, carers and guardians of children aged 3-18, strengthening families, strengthening communities is a culturally sensitive programme to address the parenting needs of different ethnic and cultural groups.
This proactive and practical Race Equality Foundation programme imported from the US, and endorsed by the UK Home Office, meets varied learning styles through discussion and activities that can be implemented for immediate benefit, promoting that true learning comes from within to develop the five essential areas of:

The result of the strengthening families, strengthening communities parenting programme is high self-esteem, self confidence, self discipline and social competence for both parent and child.
Strength5ening families, strengthening communities meets the needs of the whole family to live a life that is safe, healthy and enjoyable, contributes positively to the extended family, local community and society, and encourages economic well-being.
Allan and Dale's main focus will be on working
with fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers and any male with responsibility and accountability for the well-being of children, although mixed parent workshops will also be available.
Participant commitment is 13 weeks of 3 hours sessions to complete the course and receive a Certificate of Completion, which may also be applied to Open College Network (OCN) accreditation.
Non-certificated workshops (full day & half day) are also available looking specifically at each of the five key areas of Cultural & Spiritual, Enhancing Relationships, Positive Discipline, Rites of Passage and Community Involvement.
